This is why glamping is such a wonderful option. Now don’t get me wrong – I love camping… in a tent… in the woods… with no one for miles… but now I have a baby and our time is seriously precious. Will I tent camp with my young child in the future? Sure. But for now, it’s Glamping for us! We only have time for mini vacations so I want all of our time to be spent enjoying each other. Also… BABY STUFF!!!! Why is it that you must pack SO very much for a child!?! So where does that leave room for the normal camping stuff?
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about my ten month old and how hot it gets in Florida. Glamping gave me the peace of mind to be able to bring my child and have a place to get out of the heat and cool us down if needed! And if it did in fact rain? Well, we were covered because that glamping tent has serious room in it! I had fresh quick coffee every single morning! I was able to keep my baby’s milk and food cold and we didn’t have to worry about grabbing ice every day to make sure our food stayed cold! It was easy to fit all our food in the mini fridge! Hands down the best part was being able to immediately start enjoying the campsite as soon as we walked onto it!
Have a large family? This is also for you! We were able to invite a group of our friends to join us! One of our friends had four kids in tow and the larger glamping tent was perfect for them. You can even add on extra cots if needed!
TIMBERLINE GLAMPING at HILLSBOROUGH RIVER STATE PARK
Honestly this place is amazing! Timberline also has other glamping locations in the US. What was awesome about this place was that there were hiking trails, a playground, a general store, the river, and a specific loop set up for glamping. Timberline was top notch. Honestly. The beds were super comfortable – you literally sunk into them! The AC worked wonderfully! The Keurig was amazing and the whole tent itself was clean and inviting! We enjoyed the hammocks and the Adirondack chairs outside, along with a fire each night!
