Fall Decorating Ideas & Inspo
There is nothing that gets me more excited than the changing seasons and the holidays! I get so much joy out of decorating for it, and because of that, I can’t help but decorate a bit early.

Here’s how my conversation with my husband went when he got home from work…
Me: Do you like the front entryway?
Husband: Yes it looks nice but it’s not fall yet…
Me: ((one arched eyebrow))…
Husband: ((shrugs)) aren’t you going to put up the Halloween stuff next week?
Me: yeah but the fall decor doesn’t get enough time up if it’s only up after Halloween…
Husband: ((shakes his head laughing))
He’s such a good sport! I am just so excited that I couldn’t wait to share one decorations with you all! Some of these I’ve had for several years so I did my best to find some similar items to link if you were looking for something like it. I try to bargain shop whenever possible so a lot of these things came from Aldi’s, Target’s dollar spot, Walmart, the dollar tree and Amazon. And some of them I made myself!
The Entryway…
To me the entry way sets the scene! It’s one of my favorite areas to decorate and I’ve done it even when I was living in a small apartment. To me, it warms the home up and complete the feeling I want others to have when waking it. I like it to be inviting, festive, and warm!
I think my entryway does the trick! I love these 20” hay bails! You can get them from Walmart, Michael’s, and Amazon! The 20” fits my signs perfectly.
The wreath I acquired a long time ago – so long I can’t even remember where I got it so I hunted for something similar for you.
The signs I make! I sell them on my Etsy shop and locally in FL. These are all hand made, hand painted, real wood – pine (no MDF that will warp and no plywood that will mold), and triple sealed so that you can enjoy them for years to come. Seriously, I kid you not… my SILs sign that I gifted her back in 2017 is STILL going strong!
If you want some welcome signs but are on a budget and you don’t mind about the longevity or you don’t live in a place where you worry about humidity and moisture, there are plenty of options at hobby lobby, Walmart and even Aldi. My only disclaimer here is that MDF (think particle board) gives off toxic fumes and I do not recommend them being used inside a home. They also won’t hold up nearly as long as real pine. If your entryway isn’t covered, warping from moisture will also be an issue.
The glitter pumpkins I picked up at my local dollar tree. They come on a stick so it’s easy to insert them into the hay!
The scarecrows I got last year at Walmart! They are also on a stick and I don’t have to worry about them fall off!
