Mess Free Finger Painting Activity

What you need: Acrylic Paint in various colors, an 8×10 or smaller canvas, a plastic gallon size storage bag (i.e. ziplock), and tape (optional).

How to do it: Squeeze blobs of paint on your canvas and then open your plastic storage bag as wide as possible.  Carefully insert your canvas into the bag trying not to have the top touch the paint.  Once it is fully inside the bag, let the excess air out (some air inside is fine) and gently flatten the bag until it is just touching the paint.  Seal the bag and you can tape the corners of the bag onto a surface if you desire.  I like to do this because it makes it easier for my kid to do the activity. Now let your little one use their fingers and hands to smear the paint!! Don’t forget to have fun with this!  When your child is done, cut three sides of the storage bag with scissors and gently in an upward motion, lift off the storage bag. Discard the bag and you are all ready to let your canvas dry!
